For example: Order Cancelled Status uses X template. But Order Press status uses Y template or Backordered Status uses Z template and so on. This would allow customization in the body of the email and subject with information specific to the status, then just a generic template for any Order Status Update. This could tie into adding an Order Shipped Email notification separate from Order Complete. See Incident I-041.

Yes but we have several statuses and what we require is for cancelled orders specifically.
If you customize "Order status change" notification then target user would receive email notification when Order status gets changed.
