Admin Pending Orders needs some functional improvements. If inventory runs out after checkout, but before approval & converting to order, they are getting stuck in pending indefinitely. The following functions are seriously needed. We are dealing with these problems many times a day.
Be able to override a previous approved item (no approval workflow, default approved status) on an order and set it to DENY or be able to CANCEL an item from an order in the pending area. If inventory runs out prior to the final approval of the order, even just 1 item on the order, order gets stuck in pending area and we are unable to process the balance of the items on the order. We need to be able to push the order and process all the other items on the order.
We need to see the Part Number and the Inventory available for each pending item in the order. Currently we have orders with 20-50 items and if one item runs out of inventory after checkout, before approval, it will not convert to an order. Even though it is paid and approved because one or more items on the order ran out of inventory. Without this feature we have to look up the product name from pending list in products to find the part number, then use the part number to look up the inventory qty available. And then repeat that 20-40 times to find which item(s) are not available. Then we have to turn backorders on for that product(s) to convert the job to and Order, then we have to cancel the items that do not have inventory, and then turn backorders off for those items. Not only is this very, very time-consuming, it is near impossible to do this before the next order is done. We get about 10 orders a minute.
Show available On Hand Inventory for each item in the pending order area.
Urgent attention to these functions are really needed.
