Allow reupload/reimport of a Price Engine in order to make corrections

Many times I need to add things to a price engine. Sometimes I can with the "darker" cells that allow it. Other times it is impossible and I have to go back into the Price Engine creator and re-enter all the information again. I would be great to "re-upload/re-import" the excel worksheet that one is currently working on and be able to make the corrections and then download the new one again. Many times when testing a price engine I don't even think about something I want to include until I start to test it and use it myself and it tends to be a pain if I have to re-enter all the data again...

I have used the password route. I just think it makes sense to be able to reupload/reimport, make changes and get a fresh document that doesn't have to be opened via a password and potentially "breaking" it... :)

Jim and Eric are on the right track,, lot of "copy/paste". We are working on some ways to help ease this process of the spreadsheet. looking at allowing you to be able to edit/create those engines on screen. This along with more univeral udpates.

The pricing calculator spreadsheets are password protected. If you are SURE you know what you are doing you can unlock the spreadsheet, make your changes and then quickly re-upload it. I have done this a hundred times and it's much faster than re-entering the info again.

Here is the KB article that has the password as well as the disclaimer about breaking your price engine:

Have you tried to just copy and paste the data from the older price sheet into the new price sheet? I've rarely hit a pricing calculator sheet that was difficult to copy the cells from the old into a new one and honestly do it a lot. We use the PressWise integration so we have to include data in the attribute cell for most lines.
