Currently the CART_SUMMARY template within the email template NEW ORDER is not editable. It would be nice to have an option to further customize the body of the email templates beyond this CART_SUMMARY template generated by the server.

Good news everyone! This will be released on June 30th 2025. Please try it out next week and provide feedback to our support team. With your suggestions we will continue to improve.
Il faudrait améliorer la variable CART_SUMMARY, car je voudrais traduire "idem" par "produit", réduire l'espace sous le nom du produit, supprimer la zone grise si les infos sont vide et afficher les détails de la commande dans un tableau.

Absolutely, it should be editable. We have a complex pricing plan and customers kept calling us about much higher price plan not intended for them.
Totally agree with this. We would really need to customize the CART_SUMMARY variable.
I agree with this. The emails need additional customization options, including changing what is in the Cart_Summary.

This should be implemented, the product images on the CART_SUMMARY does not fit the gray box and are not centered, looks unprofessional.
A modern transactional templating system would be very much appreciated. Something that makes use of handlebars would be great as SendGrid, MailChimp, Mailgun, Salesforce, and other transactional email-capable platforms can. At the very least, make it so CART_SUMMARY can be optional, and we can otherwise roll out our own templates how we want them (such as removing images or having images linked externally rather than embedded).
Totally agree with this. Would be fantastic to edit the info shown in the CART_SUMMARY tag.
