approvals on accounts page or other page/tab on user side

It would be nice to be able to view my approvals in one place without needing to search for them in History. Some users may get a lot of approval requests and don't want to click links in all the individual emails. Having a list of the pending approvals and being able to take action on them from one place  in the account page or on another page would be helpful.

    Trent, I wanted to confirm that this type of functionality would be available to end-user approvers. That was the crux of the original idea, I believe. The issue with approving items out-of-order is mind-boggling and shouldn't be able to happen, in my opinion.

    Trent, I look forward to the updated function. Please keep in mind the issue we are experiencing when approvers approve out of sequence. I mentioned it below. We currently have a client which has there approvers approve 2x per month but you have those approvers that just want to get it done and since it is happening out of sequence there is a lot of frustration of having to do something you have already done. This clients has about 40 to 50 orders with 15-30 items on each order every at any given time to approve. Having to go back and approve multiple orders by multiple approvers is creating a hostile environment with a great client.

    Jim and Steve,, this is looking to be a new function of both our udpated checkout process along with an update to the admin area coming in Q1/Q2. We want to be able to see at a glance what orders have approvals waiting, and also be able to re-send the approval follow up,, either manually or automatically on a schedule.

    This is a great idea. I do not know if you have experienced this but, if you have a client with a multi level approval plan and if level 2 or higher approves and order before level 1 approves it, this creates a mess. So if the level 1 approver goes in and approves an order after a level 3 or 2 has already approved the order. The system sends out an approval email to level 2 and that approver has to approve an order they have already approved and so forth. If the system allows approvals out of sequence it should record that approval and not restart the process having approvers approve orders they already approved. This is done when approvers click on the order history and view Orders eligible for me to approve and they approve it there. This option would allow approvers to approve at their own pace. Another option would be for the system not to allow or view orders until they are eligible for them to approve. So even if they go to the order history in the storefront they would not see those orders unless the first levels have approved the order.

    I had asked for this very feature on the old forum. I think it would be a huge help to my customers who have an approval process in place. I've even asked if there was a way to craft a URL to easily bring this up, which I think would be the most helpful, since then we could simply add a URL item to the menu. Something like: "https://my.site.com/orders-to-approve". Then the system could open the order history, displaying all of the current orders available for the user to approve.
