A client would like to generate multiple gift certificates for 100 users. But they want to be able to pair the gift certificate codes with users on the site. Creating multiple gift certificates does not have an option to to assign the gift certificate codes to site users -- and wouldn't make much sense in that context -- but having the ability to 1) Generate multiple gift certificate codes, then 2) Download them to an Excel sheet, then 3) Assign the gift certificates to site user accounts and 4) Upload the Excel sheet back to the site to complete the process.
Adding Gift Certificates > Multiple > "It is possible to set the amount, expiration and type but not assign it to any user. "
