We have a lot of clients who would like to trigger approvals based on whether the item is editable/customizable or not (i.e. uses an eDocBUILDER template). Right now we make it work by adding an attribute to the product, (which could easily be overlooked), but this seems like an simple thing to add to the approval plan setup instead.
Hi Chris,
Thanks for your attention on this, yes we currently use attributes for this, however, a direct route to triggering based on eDoc usage would be much more seamless and helpful.
Thanks!
Danielle,
I brought this up with the R&D team and they mentioned that for approval plans Pressero can trigger by: Product name, Product attribute or Category name.
You can assign all eDoc related products to a specific category, or add a product attribute like "Needs Approval" to products they want to go through approval.
Here is more detail on the KB article.

Thank you!
Thank you for submitting your idea through our Aha! portal! We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and help us improve our product.
I think this is a great idea. I can see many items needed approval only if edocbuilder is attached due to all the issues that can come from a print buyers customization. I'll review with the team.
We'll keep you updated if your idea progresses into our development plans.
Thanks again for contributing to our product's evolution!
Best regards,
