UPS and other shipping companies typically use dimensions of a product to determine if it is over sized ect. it is hard to do this as a generic rule so it would be nice at a product level to list the dimensions which then would help figure out the shipping method needed.
This would be so helpful. We have issues daily with customers not selecting the correct shipping options based on the size of their items.

Thank you for adding the idea. It's interesting because many of our subscribers are requesting dimensional shipping directly but this is the first idea added here.
We already have a feature planned to improve shipping so that it passess shipping box dimensions to shipping providers so that shipping charges are more accurate.
It's currently on the roadmap but I'm unable to give you a release date at this time.
