Enable Report Writer to 'see' and build reports on inactive site.

The option to report on inactive sites would be useful for times when a customer needs a new site created to replace an existing store do to significant changes in the customer's requirements. This would allow the old site to be deleted (avoiding confusion between new and old) while still allowing the subscriber to report on the original sites order data.

Also, while maybe not as common, being able to report on deleted sites would be important if the subscriber had a data loss event that they could not recover from external from Pressero, requiring multiple sites to be re-activated which could possibly lead to errors going forward due to similar site names, URLs etc.,

In general, being able to report on inactive sites would be better user experience eliminating extra steps involved with re-activating inactive sites, and then having to delete them again.

    Hello Mr. Beavan,

The process is not necessarily arduous, just something that we would have to be careful with to make sure we don't interfere with anyone's day to day operations (as unlikely as that may be).

And this ask is not nearly critical enough to even consider risking performance issues, instead we will build a procedure to support reporting on inactive sites when the need arises.

Thank you though for taking the time to research and consider the idea.

    Hi Mr Riley,

I spoke with R&D about this and they indicated, like you said, that you can always re-enable site (with a fake domain) and create a report. But adding inactive sites to the report list could cause performance issues.

How arduous is the process of re-enabling and then disabling again? I want to gauge the difficulty before we commit to performance hits.

    Thank you!
