I can understand why AWI was created to work the way it does, but it seems to be very inefficient. We don't use AWI to pull files directly, we use the PressWise integration to get the files into our production workflow. However, we do occasionally use AWI to download the Job Detail Compact reports for all orders for a specific site for a specific date range. This is done because we have "pop-up" stores that are only open for a short length of time for customers' users to order products, typically as a gift. We use the Job Items Detail as a packing slip for those orders when we ship them out.
Unfortunately, since AWI polls ALL orders within the date range selected in settings, and only processes those that match a rule, this must cause a load issue for Aleyant on the back end server.
I propose adjusting AWI rules so that you can select specific sites and date ranges. This would allow AWI to do a more targeted search, rather than having to pull the information for every order to see if it matches what is selected in a rule. Obviously it should still be able to what it currently does, for the people who are using it.
