Qr code (for urls or vcards) are more and more used. We need to improve their design by changing the square points to round points for example, and to insert images at the center.

Related to this, it seems like the existing QR code generator can pick a QR code type that is very dense, even if the text could be contained in a less dense QR code. We're putting VCARDs in QR codes, and with a test VCARD (about 225 chars in length including the VCARD formatting), I think eDocBuilder encoded it as a type 9 (53x53) QR code with L error correction, which according to https://blog.qr4.nl/page/QR-Code-Data-Capacity.aspx can hold 335 chars of info. I'd like to see eDocBuilder tailor the generated QR code more closely to the data: for example, I think a type 8 (49x49) with L error correction would work unless there were enough chars to make it be a type 9. A type 9 QR code printed on a business card is very dense, so if we could use a type 8 when possible, that would be nice.
Then, the ability to select the error correction level would be useful. Different use cases for QR codes might make different error correction levels more useful, and this would change the amount of data storable in the code.
Because of the amount of votes on this one and it's relative effort I've added it on our roadmap. We hope to have it live before the end of 2025. Thank you everyone for your feedback!

Expanding the QR code generator to be more robust would be a great option.
This has just come up for us for several products on a new customer store.
